In all my years, yes, I sound like an old man, but it is true, I have never encountered a bad piece of Cisco equipment, until today.

I was helping with a remote install of a 5505, and it was one problem after another. Replace cables, check ping tests, very basic items. Pings were dropping like crazy and we couldn’t connect to the ASDM or the internet. We decided to replace the device with the original Linksys router, and everything worked again.

I’m wondering if the device is overheating, so we will check it out later. I guess this may very well be the first Cisco device that I’ve seen go bad. So disappointing.
