ShoZu Is Now Available For Blackberry!

Once again, Crackberry.com comes through with the latest information for your Blackberry. After reading through their Software Roundup, I saw that the ShoZu application is now available! In my first post of my new 8130, I mentioned ShoZu didn’t have the Blackberry version available.

ShoZu allows you to quickly interact with social communities such as Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, and many more. My primary use is to take photos and upload to Flickr. Then I don’t have to waste email space by sending the pictures to family and friends – just give them my Flickr account name.

Blackberry Themes

Anyone that knows me, I like to customize – my car, house, motorcycle (shameless plug to my father’s shop, Black Hills Custom Parts), my computers, and yes, even my Blackberry.

After spending much time at Crackberry.com, I came across a section for Themes. So far, I’ve purchased the Inspired 9000 and iVista. So far, I think I like the iVista the best so far. Just make sure the theme you are looking at is compatible with your phone.

Purchasing and installation is very simple. After the transaction is complete, you will receive an email with a link to download your theme. The download can be to your local computer (then you send it via data cable to your phone), a SMS text message to your phone, or an email (which would be received by your phone obviously). I opt for the email message. That next email contains a link to download the new theme. Once that is finished (just a minute or so it takes), you drill down into the Options menu on the phone then to Themes, and change to your new theme – that’s it!

Just another way I customize the cool tech that I have!

VMWorld 2008 – Sept 15-18 – Las Vegas!

http://www.vmworld.com/conferences/2008/

Get your VM fix at VMWorld 2008, in none other than Las Vegas! Like I need an excuse (ok, maybe I do at times) to go to Las Vegas. Over 200 breakout sessions around seven VM track paths and hands-on labs.

I’m considering this my own personal reminder to register ASAP, and to start practicing my Blackjack skills!

Cisco Client VPN Over Remote IPSec Tunnels

Here’s the set up – Client VPN connections from remote employees (at home let’s say) make a VPN connection to Firewall “A”. That same firewall has an IPSec connection to another Firewall, “B”, which is a remote office. Why can’t I get traffic to pass from the Client VPN to Firewall “B”?

Config changes on Firewall “A”:

  • Added the split-tunneling details for the Client VPN, so that the tunnel identifies the subnet for Firewall “B” as interesting traffic.
  • Modified the crypto-map for the tunnel between Firewall “A” and “B” to protect traffic from the Client VPN subnet to the Firewall “B” subnet.
  • Added a NoNAT statement for traffic from the Client VPN subnet to the Firewall “B” subnet.
  • Standard ACL for the “inside” interface is already set as “allow ip any any”.

Config changes on Firewall “B”:

  • Modified the crypto-map for the tunnel between Firewall “B” and “A” to protect traffic from the Firewall “B” private subnet to the Client VPN subnet.
  • Added a NoNAT statement for traffic from the Firewall “B” subnet to the Client VPN subnet.
  • Standard ACL for the “inside” interface modified to ”allow ip any any” for traffic from the Firewall “B” subnet to the Client VPN subnet.

I’m obviously missing something, somewhere. I’m thinking it has to do with the crypto or interface ACL’s. When I find the answer, I’ll post the follow-up.
